Bruce Pulman Park, Walters Road, Takanini
Bruce Pulman Park is a large site specifically developed for the pursuit of multiple indoor and outdoor sports and activities. The 2000 sqm roof structure of the indoor court centre was lifted into position in the early morning, in a single lift, courtesy of four high capacity cranes. Once in place, it was bolted to the portal columns.
High Wire Charitable Trust community facility, Dominion Road, Papakura
The outdoor options at this challenging facility include a range of high wire activities, pole platforms, rock walls, and abseiling.
Estuary Boardwalk, Conifer Grove, Takanini
This timber boardwalk through a tidal estuary required the use of driven timber poles, and timber decking. One of the more challenging features from a design perspective was the floating section of the boardwalk, which incorporates concrete pontoons with hinged aluminium access bridges.
Park Furniture
An extensive range of widely used park furniture has been designed by the team at Hill Design Engineering. The range includes signs, seats, bins and poles, which were designed using steel signs, precast concrete base units, and concrete pile foundations.
